Road Trip!

Post by pippend »

My wife and I just completed a delightful trip to Sioux Narrows, Ontario and back, 2000 miles. We were able to complete the trip from International Falls to Central Indiana with the top down. It was a little chilly to lower the top the for the very first part of the trip back. Beautiful scenery the whole way, especially coming into Duluth. We took a side trip to see relatives in northern Wisconsin on the way back and going through the North Woods was so nice as well. Then down through Rockford and Illinois to Bloomington and back to Indiana. A great drive, one I have wanted to do in the Fiat before selling it. We have owned it and loved it since July of 2001 and it is time to move on. The car performed flawlessly, getting 30 MPG.

If anyone is looking for a good solid '81 Turbo that is in great shape, no rust, but needing paint, this is your chance to make it the color you want and not have to deal with any other restoration. The Original paint is metallic brown and the tan interior is very nice. The Top is in good condition (clear window) and tan also. Had 27K miles when I bought it and now 49K.

Hope everyone is having a great Summer and some good things planned for Autumn.

You had a good time, the car didn't break down, and now you want to sell it? I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and hope you find a good home for it. What are you going to replace it with?

Probably another toy! Can only have so many at once you know. I have done the maintenance and was not worried about breaking down. I have owned several spiders and contrary to perception, have always had good luck with them. Had my 1970 down to Florida and back, but that was back in the mid 70's. That was my first of 4 different cars.
