Are there different size upper control arm bushings? I ordered a set and it turns out that they are .050 smaller in diameter than the ones I removed from the control arms. Obviously, they are too small. Packaging shows that they are 124 application.
Any help appreciated.

What is the diameter of the 124 spider upper control arm bushing? (the part that gets pressed into the arm), 1.110 in or 1.160 in (approx.)?
Or, what is the hole diameter for the upper bushing in a stock 124 control arm?

I think there's only one size. The bushing is conical, so you need to press it in there. I just cleaned up the rusty inside of the hole in my control arm, applied some grease and put the new bushing in place with a hydraulic press.

I ran into this same situation a few years ago. I purchased ones that fit properly from AR. This is my post with photos:

Thanks for the info. Sort of confirms what I learned the hard way. I was told that the bushings I ordered and received were correct even though they measured 1.108 below the ribs and that I must have a non-standard control Arm opening at 1.160.
Got to love it.

I don't want to throw rocks at folks. If it were me, and I sold a product that a customer said didn't fit, I would probably check it against a known good part. Wrong stuff has been known to get into the wrong package by the manufacturer (parts in original bag said made in Italy with manufacturer's labeling ). The lowers I bought from the same vendor went in OK. Bought uppers from another vendor, no issues.
Trust but verify.

the only bushings being made are smaller than the original, but the bushings are held in place by the big nut and bolt, and not held in place by the arms. what vendor did you get upper bigger from?spate75fiat124 wrote:I don't want to throw rocks at folks.
