Painting the block

Now that I have the block back from the machinist I will need to paint it. They vatted it so what do I have to do to prep it for paint? And which paint is the closest to the stock Fiat color?

Hopefully, they cleaned it in solvent, not in a heated, caustic solution. That will ruin the auxiliary shaft bearings.

Just mask it off and paint it. Ford grey is very close. Available in rattle cans.

Thanks, I got the Ford grey but now I am thinking of painting it racing green, which is pretty close to the color of the car.
