Hey guys, I am looking to install an aftermarket electronic oil pressure gauge in my 81 and I have some questions for someone who may have done this before.
What I am wondering is if there is a way to use both a pressure sensor for the gauge and pressure switch for the light on the original filter mount. The pressure sensor will go on the rear of the filter housing and I see a plug on the front of the filter housing. It looks like the alternator belt is in the way of the front plug, has anyone tried putting the pressure switch here? If it won't fit here I will add a t fitting on the rear to add an aftermarket pressure switch. Does anyone know the psi rating of the original pressure switch for the light?

Re: Oil pressure sensor install question
I would love it if you bought the adapter that Kirk posted, but actually you can put the light's sender in the front hole that is now plugged. I've done that on several Spiders that I converted to use a Veglia oil pressure gauge. My current Spider has an oil temperature sender in that front hole, and a splitter like in the link above in the rear for the pressure light and gauge senders.

Re: Oil pressure sensor install question
Just an update on this as I have completed the install. As per Csabas advice the pressure switch did fit in the front. Here are the parts I used, all from amazon with free shipping.
Pressure gauge - Faria 12803, very similar style to the late spider gauges.
Pressure sender - Teleflex 18-5899
Sender adapter - Auto Meter 2267
See photos below
