Best carpet sets??

Post by samakijoe »

AR is having a "no shipping" sale for a couple of weeks so I went to their site to look for a bunch of stuff for my rebuild. I need a set of carpets and they have them in stock. Also Looked a few other suppliers and they all seem to have the same picture for the set. I'm not looking for the cheapest bargain but I don't want to buy some junk set that I will be unhappy with two years down the road. I would like to hear from the boys and girls out there as to their experience with difference suppliers or are they all coming from the same manufacturer?
Thanks

I don't know about AR's carpet sets, but I got a set of their black carpet floor mats that are really nice. Nice and heavy, well finished.

If you like coco mats, www.cocomats.com is excellent. Pricey but unbelievably good.

I don't think any other Fiat supplier is using the same manuafcturer as we do. It's the same US supplier that made carpets for International Auto parts for many years.

I have full confidence in AR. However, I don't believe there are any suppliers who provide an accurate, original, carpet kit. I ended up taking mine to an auto upholsterer and found an exact match to original colour and material. They did a fantastic custom fit job. It may have been more expensive, (I didn't get a separate price for the carpet and had other interior work done), but the money was well spent. I truly believe in the saying, always buy the best you can afford.
Cheers,
Jim
