Okay, so I checked under the intake and found the TTS and the #2 plug fit perfectly, so one down, two to go.
I took better pics, here's the #3 plug...I can't seem to find anything like it that is missing it's partner
I just layed it up there to show it's reach...also this one below shows that the fan is plugged in below the hose (the connector it's plugged into has a label that says fan, so I assumed it was the right one
) ...the interesting thing to me is that one of the wires coming out of the black connector (the white wire I believe) goes straight into this white connector...
Now to the little yellow wire with the spade connector...I turned the car on to see if the dash battery light came on...and it did, but the oil light did not. So, I plugged this one into the back of the alternator and the oil light came on. I thought the battery light would go off when I plugged it in, but I didn't expect the oil light to turn on...I tried this several times and instantly when that wire touched the spade on the back of the alternator, the oil light turned on and then off when the wire was pulled off. Does this make sense? Is that wire an oil sensor of some type? and if so, does that mean that there's another wire for the alternator and it's plugged up wrong somewhere?
I have a couple more questions:
A) there's a vacuum hose coming off of the advance on the distributor that has been capped off...Can anyone tell me what it should be running to? All pics I can find show it running back to the firewall and over to the driver side, but can't find where it actually hooks up.
B) While i was looking for where the vacuum hose would go, I noticed a threaded hole that doesn't have anything in it under the throttle spring...any ideas on what goes there? could it just be that I missed a bolt on the intake manifold or something?
B) Can anyone tell me what this is? does it go with the horn? it's mounted up by the bumper next to the horn that I should have included in the pic, but did not. (Also, the pic is rotated counter clockwise 90 degrees...I can't seem to get it upright and got tired of messing with it...my apologies)
thanks again for all the help
