if anyone has this clip sitting around or can tell me where to find it i would really appreciate it.
it holds the choke lever onto the choke plate, i had a bad cold idle and when i looked for the cause i found this - no where to be found - hopefully didnt go down the engine
i think it must be a snap ring of some type, or those clips that hold bike chains together.
it is a weber adf carb

Re: WHERE CAN I FIND THIS CLIP ?
@jagonza,
I have an ADF carb too so I can get a measurement of the E-clip for the choke. I have several clips of various sizes lying around for Mikuni carb needles and other components but I would be surprised if your local hardware or auto part store doesn't have a variety pack too (e.g., a Dorman e-clip assortment is probably less than $5 but make sure you note the range of sizes and whether they are SAE or metric).
As to where it went...
If you had the carb rebuilt, that is an easy part to lose track of on a work bench and the mechanism "can" operate without the e-clip securing the shaft to the lever but it looks like the shaft has been blocked against the lever with the venturi fully open.
I'll post up the actual measurement later tonight along with a report on whether I have some "inventory" available to drop in the mail.
Cheers,
Jonathan

Re: WHERE CAN I FIND THIS CLIP ?
@jagonza,
Sorry for the delay -- I have a sick kid at home. I measured the choke shaft at 3.5mm and its groove at 3.25mm with my micrometer. McMaster-Carr has a page with various size e-clips described <<https://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/114/3194>> making this nominally a 4mm e-clip although an 11/64" will also work yet I doubt that 11/64" is a common size for an SAE variety pack. I'll look through my Mikuni parts to see if I have an e-clip this size. Stand by.
Cheers,
Jonathan
