GMB is aftermarket and traditionally has been one of the lower priced brands

I bought a japanese water pump once. It lasted about 4 years, and the seal failed. When I replaced it, you could shake it and hear a rattle. Never again.

GMB has a better reputation than bad. Actually I've never heard or experienced anything negative concerning this brand.

Yea, a lot of us go out of our way to get GMB water pumps, they have a very good reputation.

in the past GMB was a brand to avoid. For some reason in recent years they're more highly regarded. One important fact about them is they feature a stamped impeller rather than cast, a feature water pump experts say is a cheaper way to build a pump and less desirable since they don't flow as much fluid
