hey guys, I've pulled my engine out and am planning to do a head gasket and timing belt etc
Took off the timing covers and cam box covers and began trying to set the timing marks so I could remove the belt and i noticed that when i line up my crank points and what I think my cam marks are, my distributor is 180 degrees out (instead of cylinder 1 being at TDC, cylinder 4 is at TDC). Car had its belt done about 10 years ago and always ran fine.
I don't have a book to see if this is normal and to see if I'm following the correct timing marks, if anyone knows which marks are correct on the cams that would be great.
Also any good Machine shops in the GTA that you guys recommend, i will be sending my head in to get cleaned up.
Thanks,
Lucas

One piece of missing data: The Aux shaft mark needs to be pointed at the mounting stud for the spring tensioner, at about 1:00.

From the pictures, it look like you have to back up the exhaust cam 1 notch.
