Hi all,
At one time my trunk had a spring loaded bar mechanism that could be turned out to hold the trunk open. It was bent and never worked correctly, During my restoration I put on a different truck lid that didn't have the keep-it-open bar.
Can someone post a pictures of a working mechanism so I can see if I can acquire/fabricate and reinstall the device? Right now I keep a broomstick handle in the trunk and use it to keep the trunk open when needed.
Thanks.

Nelson, here is a photograph of my mechanism. You should be able to get the spring and rod from someone like Mrfiat.com. Be careful when opening your trunk as it can hit the part behind the top if opened too far. Gregory
