Great Story Heard at a Cruise Night

I had a fellow come up to me at last Thursday's Cruise at the old Raynham Dog Track in MA, and he related as to how, when he was very young, maybe 4 or 5 years old, he was playing around as toddlers do, and he had poured sand into his parent's 124 Spider gas tank and "ruined it".

It had always upset him and he carried around the regret and the guilt of the deed for years. So 2 years ago, he bought an old '78 Spider rust free "barn-find" and has been restoring it quietly in his garage. His parent's 50th wedding anniversary is in September and he plans to drive it over to their home and give it them as an anniversary present.

When my son was about 5 years old, he poured a quart of oil in the gas tank thinking he was helping.

14 years later he did help immensely in restoring the car.
