Hello all,
I am beginning to pull more power from my 1608. First up will be headers and exhaust due to ease of application.
I order to be prepared for increased flow, I'm looking to buy jets for the DHSA carb. I believe this is similar to the DFEV? It appears to have a ton of jets in each barrel.
Any idea where to get a kit for these carbs? Or which jets should be investigated (just idle and main?). I will have a wideband hooked up with the new exhaust system.

Yes, same jet family as DFV or DGV carbs. Weber carb vendors such as Pierce Manifolds should have a fairly large selection. Not aware of any jet kits per se. You will probably just need main jets, I would not think you would have to change idle jets or air correctors. Just be thankful you don't have twin IDFs and have to buy four of every jet.

Thanks Carl. I will be going DCOE eventually, so at that point I will need 4 of each!

Anybody know the stock jet sizes? I can't seem to find this in any of my manuals...

Unless your spider is right hand drive, DCOEs are going to be a real pain to install as the brake booster and the master cylinder are in the way. That's why everyone uses IDFs.

Carl, thanks for the heads up. I'm aware of the clearance issues and have solutions planned. I'm racing in a class where I'm penalized equally for the carb change (2 bbl/4 bbl, DCOE, IDF, whatever) and brakes are free... Hopefully I'll have photos by early next year.

I'd be interested in hearing what jets and a header vs. the stock manifold get you. I'd always figured that (at least compared to the traditional header designs...there are much better designs readily available now) the stock manifold (on the 4-2-1 setups, that is) flows pretty well.
