Ciao Spideristis,
currently i'm upgrading my Spider Cs0 with a Fiat Abarth Head, a lot of Tuning from the GuyCroftBible and other Stuff... and there will be an ECU similar to Megasquirt2 with all extras
Now i'am looking for new Injectors with around 200cc/min and the right angle etc.
Does anybody know a type which will fit the Fiat Manifold? Are modern Injectors much better than the old L-Jetronics?
I think the biggest problem will be how to fit them because they are not in a line... ?!??
Greetings from Munich

Re: Modern Injectors... Will they fit?
you can get the same style of injector with higher flow (I think 200cc/min may be a bit low for higher horsepower). The newer injectors are usually hi impedance (z), your megasquirt can handle both, the L-Jet can also handle hi Z, I have been running hi Z 220cc/min for years without any issues. The only issue is that some ECU's can only handle hi Z then you CANNOT use low impedance injectors alone (you need to use a pull up resistor). if you use this calculator it will give you an idea on what flow rate you need for the amount of horsepower you are designing http://fuelinjectorclinic.com/hp-calculator duty cycle should be 80% for normal conditions, (you don't want to drive your injectors too hard) (the calculator recommend 90% I personally think this is a little high, I think it is better have a bigger buffer just in case you have to push them harder??)
as a guide this ebay link http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VL-TURBO-INJ ... tTycNSMqdA (no relation to it) has 250cc/mm and are used in a 6cyll turbo motor from the late 80's, the changes may be the hose length and sometimes the o-rings are different sizes.
If you want to use modern injector then you will have to fabricate a fuel rail and regulator to suit (and maybe change the connectors), the challenge with our cars (from memory) is that the all 4 injector don't come out parallel with the standard FI system, making it difficult to adapt a straight fuel rail.
If you are using throttle bodies different story altogether

Re: Modern Injectors... Will they fit?
Hi David,
thank you for your interesting calculating-link... i've tried several ones and all of them told me that 200cc will be enough for 150hp....
But now, with 80% duty cycle and other calculators it goes up to 222ccm or 250ccm/min
I hope to build an adapter to fit new injectors on the stock fiat rail.... or find good old-type injectors... but they are rare and sometimes really expensive...
Cheers

Hello there,
does anybody knows a type of injectors with around 230 two 250ccm/min for the original Fiat Intake?
Regards

http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com/F ... Rates.html
Have a look at this page, some older BMW may have them, I had mine made my a mob here in Oz a while ago.
You would ll want the barb on the end if you are going to use the same fuel rail

Take a look at the list here:http://www.witchhunter.com/injectordata1.php
Select hose end injectors and there are a lot of options. I used 0280 150 206 with my mega squirt system and they fit perfect in the stock intake with the fuel rail. 35$ at autozone each.

Hello,
FYI:
I found these 4-Point injectors Bosch 0280150913 they are good for engines up to around150HP.
Best regards
