Hello,
I've been working on my doors since my locks have never worked. With enough time, liquid wrench and WD-40 I now have the driver side door opening when locked, and locking nicely using the key.
On the passenger side, while it will lock from the inside, I can not get the key to turn in either direction . It goes in nicely but just won't turn.
Before I try pulling the door handle off to work this out, is it possible that a door handle replacement would give this same result?
Would a Fiat door key go into the handle but not turn if it was not the right key?
I don't want to get into this only to find that I need to buy new handles to get a consistent key. And if I needed to do this, what do I do for the trunk lock, which is the same as my exterior door handle key.
Thanks for any input

Re: external door handle key
You can buy a set of three lock cores from various vendors.. Or just leave the car unlocked and don't leave valuables in it......if they really want in they just cut the fabric top

+1 on not locking the car. What's the point? Also, it's entirely possible the two door keys are different. My car has a different key for each door and the trunk.
