Hi fellow spider owners I am after some information re Rear Trailing control arms.
I recently purchased a rear trailing arm kit and panhard rod for my 1980 Fiat spider. The PO has replaced the rear axle with an early front load diff (pre 1978).
I was able to replace the panhard rod and the 2 short upper trailing arms. However when trying to change the two rear long lower trailing arms, the sleeves on the bushes are too small or the bolts are too big.
Has anyone else come across this issue and what can I do to resolve it?

Swap the steel bushing from the old arms to the new arms.

Re: Advice on rear trailing control arm
I should have said "steel sleeve" not bushing. I had the same problem with a new drag link, the steel sleeve I.D. was too small and would not fit over the mounting stud. I just pressed out the old one and pressed it in the new drag link, it worked great. You could also have a machinist turn you a new sleeve if needed.
