Interior rearview mirror

Post by CiscoKid »

Anybody have a suggestion where Ican find an interior rearview mirror for my '81?

I'm looking for one that is not the daytime/nighttime flip kind. The pane of glass that is inside of those types always fogs up as it it so flippin' humid here. I'd like just a simple mirror if I can find one.

Would it work to take off the outside snap trim and leave off the clear glass cover?

the two I have, the original and the new one I just bought both seem to need that glass piece to keep the mirror seated properly.

a similar discussion about gauge fogging produced a solution of using dessicant inside the gauge. Why not put some in behind the miror glass?
