Has anyone installed an accurate aftermarket oil pressure gauge?
I recently had an oil pressure problem, which is not a quick problem to fix, so now I'd like to be able to keep a close eye on my system.
I've got a fuel injected '80 so it didn't come with a gauge, and I hear that the veglia gauges that came with the older cars weren't very accurate so I'd prefer something better anyway.
My oil pressure test kit is so easy to hook up I'd love to find something similar in ease of use but classic looking like the originals.
Any thoughts?

Re: oil pressure guage
I had an earlier Veglia gauge installed in the car when I bought it in 1978, but it became less and less reliable as the years passed. In 2009 I installed a mechanical gauge I bought from NAPA for $43 and it's been perfect. The pressure shows 60 psi when cold and 50-55 while driving for hours. At idle it might drop to 30-40, but that's fine. I installed it between the ignition switch and the radio in a wooden surround that I made and suspended from the dash. This older picture shows the clock in the same place.

Re: oil pressure guage
Thanks Peter. That's exactly what I'm interested in doing with mine.
