throttle cable and linkage for dual idf's for Spider
Hi all. Does someone have or know where I can get throttle cable and linkage for dual idf Weber set up for 76 Spider ? Thanks.

Most of us just use the stock, cam box mounted linkage. I make a new rod between the carbs interlink and the pivot on the cam box with 1/4" rod and the proper metric die.

I think the '76 Spider still uses the cable wrapped around the drum. You'll need to replace that with a throttle cable for a '78, and like
Carl says, you need the cambox mounted bellcrank assembly.
If you can get the bellcrank with the original throttle linkage, you will then have the fittings that fit the 8mm ball studs associated with a '78 carburetor setup. Those fittings will work with 10-32 threaded rod. I got mine at the local fastenal. You just need a z-bend in the rod, cut to proper length, and you're all set -- once you figure out how to tweak the twin carbs.

76 won't have the studs for the bell crank on the cam cover. It's much simpler to make a bracket to mount between the carbs. That way the cable pulls at the correct angle

Good point. In my defense, Carl started it.
grasshopper could possibly land the '78 cam cover while collecting the other parts, but I guess the reality is there's a bunch of ways to make the duals work. Depending on a person's fabrication skills and tool inventory, it's easy or hard. I can make most anything and have most of the tools, but I'd still first try to find the Fiat parts and bolt them on.

I can make a bracket to hold throttle cable in between carbs, but I need a throttle cable made to not only reach the bracket, but a cable that has the proper fitting to mate to the little ball fitting that controls the carbs(the linkage in between the carbs). I don't know how to fabricate so I need someone to make me one. Can anyone on this forum help me with that ?
