carpet and insulation out-what should I do

Post by spiderman1 »

I am almost finished restoring my floor pans. I want to make sure I dont miss something that I shuld do at this stage. Here are my thoughts.
1-Finish POR 15 application
2-Run Any Speaker wire I need to run in the car
3-Place dynamat type insulation
4-Replace carpet.
What other wiring should I consider?
Anything thing for Relays for new headlight relay or fog light relay?

Just not wanting to mis and easy step- What am I missing?

Headlight wiring and relays are under-the-hood work. Other than speaker wire and brown-wire fix that should be it. You may want to clean up your main wire loom and loom retainers going across your driver side rockers and free the wiring from dirt or possible rust.

And check the quality of the fuel lines that run along the inside floor next to the drivers side rail.

Maybe check the quality of the threads that hold the seat belt bolts down to the floor.

Dynamat is good stuff but I would consider adding 1/2" dynaliner also. The dynamat is thin and the dynaliner gives the carpet a little thickness like the OEM jute.
