I hope this means they might finally be releasing the price soon? And for all the old school fans there is a '67 124 in the commercial briefly.

Tx for sharing sherman.
Love that they used an "old style drone" with a birds' eye view.

Re: New 124 commercial
Yep, thanks for sharing! I got to drive that exact stretch of road just last year and I wish I could drive my Spider on it today...what fun it would be. And although there are some here that question the lineage of the new Spider, I would love to have one in my garage as a daily driver.
FWIW, my wife managed to get a tour of the Mazda plant in Hiroshima just two weeks ago where she saw Spiders and Roadsters (aka Miatas) being built on the same assembly line, and she's starting to like the idea of a new Spider to go with my old one.

Nice commercial and gets the point across about the joys of driving a rag top. Hopefully this sparks some interest along with the wonderful exhaust note.

Re: New 124 commercial
I hate to be the grumpy old guy but this commercial reminds of that terrible 500 commercial with Jennifer Lopez. There is no content in this commercial to get the car juices flowing, it seems more aimed at the hipster crowd.

Re: New 124 commercial
Of course. That's who they're aiming at. Old guys either associate Fiat with "Fix It", or realize that the Miata is a better long-term (and possibly short-term) investment. The new 124 should have better quality than the new 500 (it would have to, wouldn't it? ), but given their reputation, who would drive past three Mazda dealers to buy a similar car from a marginal supplier?carl wrote:... it seems more aimed at the hipster crowd.
Re: New 124 commercial
At 49 I neither consider myself old or hipster, but I am very interested in this car as a replacement for my Chrysler 200 hard top convertible as my daily driver. I had been holding out in hopes of a hard top version but since they decided on a retractable fast back then I will definitely being impatiently waiting to upgrade. I would likely be close to the front of the line at my local dealer, which is 45 min away, but as there is an unconfirmed rumor that I might have a new dealer 15 min from my house this summer I might hold out til then. It is certainly not the beasts of yesteryear but it will fill the niche for a fun small roadster with modern amenities that will maybe be someone's fond memory from their youth.

Re: New 124 commercial
There are (only) two things I like about this commercial:
The new Spider crosses paths with a vintage one.
At one point when the bird is slowing down, there is some dust or a feather falling from its back, but it looks like it's crapping on the car. That's funny!
