I have a Weber 32/36 DFEV Carburetor that a previous owner upgraded my 1979 Spider to. I don't think my automatic choke is working. I have 12 volts at the choke electrical lead when I turn on the ignition, but it doesn't "click" (I'm not sure if it's suppose to click).
What's a good way to test this choke? I was thinking of heating the choke with my heat gun or taking it off and submersing in hot or cold water. Other good ideas?
Also, if I need to buy a new choke for this carb does anyone know a good place to buy just the choke component?
Thanks

Re: Weber Carb Automatic Choke Question
with the motor cold put a small bag of crushed ice on the top of the choke
about three min give it a little gas with your hand
it should close the butterfly if it wasnt closed already
if it is closed when cold start it and about three min give it a bit of gas and it should open the butterfly

when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

Re: Weber Carb Automatic Choke Question
it won't click. Does the choke close, but not open? I have replacement choke covers if needed
