I love AR! He nicely told me I'm an idiot(just kidiing). Apparently the pick up coil magnet has to be a certain way, The OEM ones do not come with directions. So if you take it off during assembly. Make sure that the side with 3 white lines goes toward the sensor. Starts and idles fine, now for a test drive.

Still not fixed :( Replaced the control module still stalled. Replaced the fuel filter and examined the tank through the sending unit hole, looks clean. Still stalled. Whats left? I drove this car all winter no problems, I have been daily driving it just because I can. I know the gas is good I just filled it up last week. Now that the weather is really nice it stops working properly. I'm pretty frustrated right now and can't even think of what to do next. I'm going to get a couple drinks, get some sleep and try to figure it out later. :x

try hooking up a jumper wire from the pos coil side to inside the car and put a light bulb on it so when it stalls
you can see if the power shuts off first at the coil

I bet the AFM has just gone plain bad. No other reasonable explanation seems to be left.

Can someone confirm that if the tachometer continues to work (rpms match engine speed) after the stall that means power is still being provided to the ignition system and those systems are working. If the tachometer just dropped after stalling then power has been "cut" to the ignition. If this information is correct than I have a fuel delivery problem. Time for a new pump?

124 Joe Hooked up a test light and it stayed steady lit before during and after the stall. I can get it to stall in the driveway now. Just rev the heck out of it for a minute or so. I'm leaning toward a fuel problem but what???

Before you suspect a fuel problem first determine whether you have fire. When you experience the stall, hook a tester to the output of your ignition coil and check for fire. Just because your tester (on your pink wire to the coil, am i correct?) lights, it does not mean that your coil fires to the distributor. Earlier you said that once you experience the stall it takes at least 20 secs of turning over before you can restart. Take advantage of that 20 secs and do this test. If you have power then test for power to your spark plugs. If you have power to the plugs and there's still no start then go to the next level for fuel.
Hope this helps.

Connected timing light and got the vehicle to stall the light was flashing the entire time. So I'm back to fuel and madder than you can possibly believe I hate this car! When my son is done with it I will not be able to sell it fast enough. So now it's fuel pump or relay?? Buy both? Again I hate throwing money at a problem.

I'm so mad, I forgot to thank AriK for the checking spark with timing light idea. Thank you. Now for more drinks and some sleep.

I don't quite understand. Does the timing light still activate while you are turning over the motor during a no-start condition??
