Chrome Bezel Installation

So I bought a set of chrome bezels from AR and need some suggestions on how to install. I assume these are normally installed using a crimping machine. I called around and found a place but they want $40 a gauge. I little out of my price range. Any suggestions?

I bent mine over using a flathead screwdriver, and I do not recommend taking that route. It took forever, and hurt to do.

There's a post here somewhere about a member using a dremel to cut notches in the bezels to aid in the folding. If I ever do this again I'll take the notch route.

I saw that post about using the Dremel. My only concern is cutting the edge straight, as this will be seen. How did yours turn out? Is the bend straight?

That's pretty impressive. Those bezels look alot thicker than what I have, which is why he probably needed to use a hammer and make a jig to keep the gauge in place. I'm wondering if I can use a plastic trim tool to bend the bezel over the lip. I am concerned about keeping the bend straight.

I have a set that came in a pile of parts, not sure where they originally came from.

Mine slip over the existing black bezels and fit loosely. 4 small beeds of silicone kept them in place for a couple of years.

My bends are not perfectly straight, but you have to be directly over them with your nose near the wheel to really notice.

I think cutting tabs into the bezels edge would be the way to go. Ten or so tiny little cuts, no deeper than necessary, around the bezel, creating tabs which would be easier to fold.

I siliconed my bezels to the gauge. I've had them on for about a year and a half now with no issues. Very quick and painless installation and i can remove the silicone easily if i need to get the bezel off.

I used epoxy. Use a high quality epoxy that will work with metal. You may not be able to get them off but I have never tried to so I am not sure.
