74 ?

So I sold my 71 to a good home and in my wanderings I found this, a supposedly 74, haven't had time to go look, so it's a 1800 in with small bumpers? haven't seen anything like it.

'74 was the last year of the small bumpers and the first year for the 1800 engine in the 124 Spider. The California cars had the big rubber "nubs" on the small chrome bumpers. So, definitely plausible and probably not originally a California car.

From the one picture it looks like my 74. It also has an 1800 and the chrome bumpers (and no big rubber nubs).

Looks good: small bumps on the hood, emblem on the hood, chrome bumpers. As previously mentioned, it's the last year of the small bumpers and should have an 1800 engine.

Mine and a few others I have seen from '74 have posts/tubes/mounts extending the chrome bumpers a little further away from the body of the car. Not all of them are mounted that way, though, just some of them. It's hard to see from that angle if that is the case in the photo. It was probably a step towards the oil-filled mounts that they ended up using with the big bumpers.

That one looks sweet, with the suspension well sorted. I'm not a huge fan of the wheel design, but I appreciate how the tires really fill the arches.
