Ah so, I did not realize that was the case. Just feeling somewhat tempted to try a slightly hotter cam (or two) in my 1971 1608, which needs a head job anyway. I have a 32/36 DFEV and an 1800 intake waiting to go in as well. Seems like there is nothing but regrinds available, except for the spendy Guy Croft cams, and those are probably more aggressive than what I would be happy with anyway.
Is there truly some magical unicorn of an OEM cam out there? From what I read, the only way to know what this or that cam is, is to measure it. There are those who say the 1608 cams are magical, and other who say all OEM profiles are the same. I am the confusored
