I actually came on a pair of pristine RX7 seats one day at pick-n-pull and snagged them for my 79. I got rid of the Fiat seat rails and doubled up some slotted U channel to make mounting rails for the new seats. They sit up higher than the old ones making it a marginal fit for me at 5'11" but great for my 5'4" wife.

With the Garage Pro Racing Seats in mine I am sitting so high I have to duck down to see traffic lights and when the top is up look like Mr Incredible squeezed in his econo-car being a size 50.

You guys are tempting me to start visiting the local U-Pull or Gopher Bro's junk yards on the quest for more reasonable seating.
