Very nice!

The Giulietta Spider right behind is just calling out to me:

Would love to see how that 45 rpm in-dash phonograph works.

Gorgeous Fulvia! What year is it? Man, that driver's seat looks comfortable.

Thanks everyone. It's a 1966 series 1 fulvia. Style over substance as the engines only 1,216 cc, making no more than a measily 80 bhp, if that.

I can't really explain the attraction, but it's just got under my skin and I've been lusting after one for years.

I blame the Petrolicious videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UUbhmx0qK0

It's nowhere near as desirable as the 1.3 rally spec HF models, but think I prefer the earlier ones. Must be getting old. As Clarkson's said "it really is as pretty as the sun setting over Charlize Theron"

As you can see, it needs a bit of work, but I liked the fact it's all original, never even repainted. The seats are a bit worn, but outrageously comfortable - like an armchair in a gentlemen's drinking club. Fortunately I want to keep the oily rag look (finances wouldn't allow otherwise) so I'm not looking to re-trim or anything.

I heard Donald Osborne say the Lancia Fulvia seats are crazy comfortable, when he appeared on Leno's Garage. He's a big Lancia booster:

When I saw that episode, it definitely piqued my interest in the Lancia. In the coming years, I want to get a "his" car to go along with the "hers" car that is our Fiat Spider. The Lancia is definitely in the running. I also am drawn to the Chevy Corvair, and perhaps not surprisingly, the styling of the later Corvair is similar to the Fulvia. The late '60s and early '70s is my thing.

Are parts available, and at a reasonable cost? Can you post a few more pics?

There is a very strong Corvair presence here in Eastern MA, and several show up at every show. Fantastic little cars!!

Another possibility I'm considering as a garage mate to my wife's Spider is the BMW 2002. If only the cabriolet version wasn't as rare as hen's teeth!
