The ones that came with my '80 Spider seem to work just fine.

You probably saw this already, but in case you didn't here's a link to some good information on belts.

THe factory seatbelts are actually rebuildable. you can, with great patience, take fabric off and install new 2" seatbelt material. you need a good machine and nice thick thread. for $20 bucks, you can have brand spankin new sealtbelts.

Silly question, but what machine?

I would like to replace my worn fabric seatbelts too and the mechanisms are quite quick to "grab". Are there any quick bolt on replacement options that fit the 2-bolt pattern of the original?

I bought new ones for $45 each from Johnny Law Motors which are made by Safe T Boy. I initially found them on Ebay.

By machine, I meant sewing machine.

1. remove belts from car.

2. pull belt ALL the way out. take car to note the direction of all latches and accessories that on the belt. youll put them back the same way.

3. lock spindle with vice grips. (DONT LET IT WIND BACK UP WITHOUT BELT IN IT)

4. the belt is held in with a cylinder of metal that the belt wraps around. you can pull this cylinder out with needle nose pliers. save cylinder.

5. put all the old accessories on the new webbing material (cut webbing to same length as old one) in the same direction that the old one was. you basically have to stitch two places, its pretty obvious.

If you need, i can go home, take one of my belts apart and show you some better detailed pictures. it should be obvious once you get the belt out and unspooled.

I replaced mine with standard retractable belts from Wesco Performance and they work fine.

It's been several years ago but they were very reasonable price wise. I have beige interior and the tan belts are a little darker but not noticeable. I replace the originals because they were not retracting very well and kept locking up. I tried to clean and lube them but the mechanisms were just worn out and it made them worse.
