Looks like it's based on an Alfa Spider, not a Fiat.

Looks like he was attempting to make a Ferrari and after spending countless hours and too much money his wife finally had enough.

Amazing what one can do with 1,200 lbs of Bondo and some Chicken Wire.
Is it salvageable?

And how do you know that that monstrosity isn't? Looks like an engine hatch at the back.GeorgeT wrote:850's were rear engine.bobplyler wrote:it looks more like a Fiat 850 spider.

Re: Anything goes.... I guess
67 124s are fairly rare.
It would be a shame if this is/was a 67 124.
My guess it's an 850.

I think under that big flat hatch in the back is an engine. Or at least a place to house oneGeorgeT wrote:850's were rear engine.bobplyler wrote:it looks more like a Fiat 850 spider.

Looks like a fuel fill port on the right rear fender and the lack of fresh air vents lead me to think it is front engine.AFRetired wrote:I think under that big flat hatch in the back is an engine. See the pic of the Alfa dashboard and steering wheel below. It's a perfect match to the one in the ad pic.oscc2 wrote:Looks like it's based on an Alfa Spider, not a Fiat.

Unless the Alpha was totaled then why?
Do that to a Vega, Pinto or Pacer but not an Alpha or Fiat Spider.

It is impossible to find a Vega, Pinto or Pacer because most of them rusted more than Fiats or caught fire.
