I have been away from the forum for awhile, but many of you will remember me talking about our family friend, Sam Berns. His fight with Progeria was followed across the nation, and there was an HBO documentary made about his life. We got to know him when he was a Scout in the Troop where I was an adult leader. What an amazing kid, a really exceptional spirit! NEVER complained about anything (except the traditional food at Plymouth Plantation just that one time, but hey that's ok) Well Foxboro recently held a nice ceremony to dedicate a new walkway and garden in his name. And the new football field at the High School (artificial turf no less!) was named in his honor as well. Bob Kraft (Pats owner) paid for the field. Really good guy.
RIP little buddy.
