Hi
Does anyone know what the electrical outlet is for under the dash next to the steering column on a 1982 spider 2000?
Thanks.

The mythical "Inspection Lamp" used by Service Personnel plugs into it. I think few have ever actually seen one, but there was pic posted here a year or two ago.

Re: Underdash elect. socket/outlet
If you remove the socket, join the two wires going to it. The wire feeds the power to the hazard switch and if you just unplug them it will no longer work. That bit of information was learned after 3 hours with a multi meter!
