"No Rust": An Appreciation

Post by KevAndAndi »

"No rust". Six letters. Two syllables. Two simple words in the English language. One phrase that can have so many different meanings:
  • Since leaving the factory, this car has been kept in a hermetically-sealed, climate-controlled environment and has not even been sneezed upon.

This car has only surface rust.

This car has no rust that is immediately visible to the prospective buyer.

This car had rust damage that was repaired.

This car used to look like Swiss cheese, but now it has a nice paint job; pay no attention to the bubbles.

This car's body is an amalgam of iron oxide and Bondo.
Does anyone else have a favorite meaning for this magical phrase?

So full of papier mache you can see the whole body move on a wet day.
My two cents ain't worth what it used to be
