Hi Betis,
I see you are looking at the 78 that's currently on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fiat-Other-/111 ... 1853296730
It certainly looks like a very nice Spider. They are asking for top dollar for it too.
But that's between buyer & seller, and in any case when buying any old car, buying the best one you can find and afford is always the way to go. Cheap old cars get very expensive fast.
I don't know if you are in the LA area of LaLa Land but if you are Allison Automotive in Upland is where you'll want to take it to be sure it passes smog.
Have you seen this one of BaT? http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-f ... nvertible/
Its an early small bumper car, which many of us prefer, and I don't think you'd have to worry about smogging it because of its age.
Good luck and keep posting. Let us know if you get it or not.

There is a belt and it looks like the smog pump is working. And it has a catalytic converter. All is there. So hopefully it will pass smog in California.

Betis - This place is only about 5 miles from my house. If you haven't made the purchase yet and need someone to take a closer look, I could probably get out there in the next week or so, depending if they are around during the Holidays. Let me know. or PM me.
Think I would like to see one that is worth $17+k.

Thanks
