Stock rims rub a arms

I was checking my full turn radius while car was on jack stands and once there noticed the wheels turned hard by hand. Then I noticed the rims are actually rubbing on the front edge of the a arms. The passenger side actually hits an inside weight. Is this a product of me replacing my tie rod ends and not having it aligned yet? Cars like my 55 Chevy have stops, but I don't see any on the Spider.

The stops are on the steering box pitman arm, the tabs hit the mounting bolt heads at the turn limits. I think you will find when you lower the car back on the ground the wheels no longer rub.

Mine does this when on jack stands and the suspension is hanging free. Does Not rub while on the ground.

This type of suspension by nature toes in drastically when there is no weight on it so the tendency will be for it to rub with the wheels turned hard when there is no weight on the front wheels. This is why the owners manual lists specs for a laden alignment with 150 lbs on each front seat and 130 lbs in the trunk. If you align the car to the laden specs with the car unladen it will start to toe out when you sit in it compressing the front suspension and tend to wander when you drive it along with wear the inside edges of the front tires.
