Ended up in a wreck on Sunday morning at about 1AM. As you can see, my daily driver is likely totalled. Front bumper, right quarter panel, crash bar, radiator all were damaged, and the two front airbags went off. Other driver was at fault-- they turned left through an intersection while I was going through a green light. They ran from the scene but police caught up to her a day later.
We''l see how it all works out. If the cars gets totaled out, I'll end up with a decision point:
Buy a new car, or buy a used car for about the same amount I had left on my loan
Buy an old used truck with whatever the cash difference is, and use that as my daily driver while I continue to fix up the Fiat.
Poor the money into getting the Fiat safe enough to pass safety inspections, and use that as my daily driver until I buy a truck. I've gotta get something that can tow my boat-- the Genesis coupe had a hitch installed, so that complicates things a bit.
Not sure which way I'll go yet, hopefully it all works out OK.
