My wife was gone out east for a month to take care of some of her 95 year old Mothers needs (She still lives in her own house by herself). This gave me a chance to order some parts from John Erskine and then install them up at my summer trailer retreat. I have a 24 foot awning on the trailer so I was able to work in the blistering hear as well the rain. I replaced the vent drivers side window with latch (latch fell off) when it caught on the sleeve of my overalls a couple of weeks later ARGGHHH. There is mirror glue available for this from Home Hardware in Ottawa. SpiderDan mentioned this to me when I ran into him in a mall in Ottawa. I replaced the console. The boot foam and rubber, changed to a Minnesota short shifter, replaced half of the door panels so they are now black at the top and brown at the bottom. Mainly interior cosmetic fixes. I found a hole behind the drivers seat welded in a sheet of metal all the way to the back seat reinforced the seat rail then rust proofed it all. Replaced a relay for the horn and fan. Thank God it wasn't really hot out as the fan was not running. Replaced every single fluid in the car.
The only thing left to fix at the moment is the latch on the roof let go on me twice while driving down the highway Yikes. You have never seen anyone do a pit stop faster in your life. Any advice as to how to fix the latches or tighten them would be much appreciated? The car just went into storage with my 56 Chev so I cannot work or look at the latches until then.

If I'm not mistaken, the latch is adjustable on the roof side. Loosen screws, move latch, tighten screws.
