Fuel filler hose

I have a 78 Spyder. The fuel filler neck hose split and I lost a tank of gas. Has anyone replaced this hose? Do you go in from the top or from the bottom or both? ANy hints? Thanks, Tom

You can access the hose from underneath. There is a shield to remove and it helps if you don't have gorilla hands.

Make sure you get the right length. Use the old one to measure. I used a little lubricant that doesn't deteriorate rubber to help slip it on.
