New 500 Abarth addition

Post by adrians »

Well I went and brought another Fiat

2014 Abarth 500 (160HP) - a 10 month old demo car with Xenon H/L and only 3200km on the clock.

This will be an everyday drive.

congrats! You'll have fun with it, but I suggest a set of lowering springs to take away the dive under hard braking

HI Mark,

I'm trying to work out whether the "SS" ( aka esse esse ) version - already has lower springs ?

Do you know ?

Nice fleet of cars!

I currently drive a '14 Abarth daily and have a '79 Spider 2000. It's the perfect combo

My understanding of the Essesse is that a US Spec 'base' Abarth and a Euro/Australian Essesse are the same. The difference being the Euro/Australian 'base' Abarth has < 160hp. Your car should be on "normal" factory Abarth springs and there are quite a few aftermarket options for lowering springs.

Enjoy!

Yes - it's a good combo.

We took both the Abarth and the Spider to AutoFesta ( car show in little Italian in Sydney) on the weekend. Wife enjoyed driving the Abarth. :D

The Esse Esse sold here in Australia, are sold as 160HP - 118Kw, they are suppose to have all the goodies that come in the timber Abarth box which was the add-on's to the original Abarths (135HP)

I saw both the 500 Abarth and Spider on Sunday at the Italian Festa. They both look awesome and the spider is immaculate. Congrats.
