Does removing Emissions Control add power to an FI 2000?

Keep it on topic, it will make it easier to find what you need.

So - we're back to recommending compression?

(And you don't grow out of bumperless!)

RE: The Chin Spoiler: I temporarily ran without one a couple of Summers ago, for about a week, (don't remember why, but there was some reason at the time that made sense) and in the Summer heat my engine ran, on average, about 10 Deg-F higher than when the spoiler was installed. This thing makes a big difference in the overall cooling system performance and is an integral part. If you don't have one, adding one is a really good idea. And it looks pretty cool too.

Never stopped recommending compression - it works every time its tried!

To quote myself - if you want to tinker, get dual IDFs. Otherwise get a single carb or fuel injection and just drive the piss out of it. If you want a car that never sees the road, try an engine swap or megasquirt.

I know, I know, two or three people have successfully swapped engines and done programmable FI, but they are the margin of error. For all practical purposes 0% of these experiments lead to road worthy cars.
