Re: New Book
I don't know why it is but Amazon.ca and Amazon.com don't always have the same items. As of October 8 they are supposed to synchronize...looks like the Kindle version did.
Reading through the community pages it appears most folks order from Amazon.com and ship to Canada. Not sure what's up there.

I appreciate the compliment - it has been fun to work on.SoFlaFiat wrote:Ari,AriK wrote:I'd like to read it. As soon as i figure out how to get a paperback to Canada. Amazon.ca only offers a kindle version which may not be compatible with my device.
If you continue to have issues, shoot me an email and I will send my copy up your way and order another.
Just received mine today and at first glance it is everything we have come to expect from Brad. Thanks Brad!

Just got my copy. Lots of reading to do, but it looks good on quick flip through!

Re: New Book
Brad, just purchased your book on Amazon and I am looking forward to enjoying it. I should've figured you were originally from Louisiana with the last name of Artigue. I am a DeJean from Opelousas. Now living in the Northeast. Congratulations on your publication. I'm one of the few guys restoring a '69.
Take care and thanks for the book,
Gregory

Little Compton. It should be ready for a drive real soon. Let me know when you're around. I'm one hour from Boston.

Bought the hard copy on Amazon, and it gives you a free Kindle Copy as well?

Re: New Book
I directed them to - and I'm not sure if it works or not. It is supposed to. When you go to the Kindle one it shows the option, but (unless it changed today) wasn't showing for the print version. I have limited control over this except that I turned it on.76was124 wrote:Bought the hard copy on Amazon, and it gives you a free Kindle Copy as well?

Re: New Book
Works on the print version, I downloaded it just fine.....I think the get the "Free Kindle version" showed up AFTER the purchase, or just before you click on 'complete the order'. It is in a text window on the right side of the web page saying "Get the Free Kindle version"
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Re: New Book
For Ari and any other cool Canuck customers:
Amazon.com (not .ca) makes it very easy to get the book in Canada. I ordered it on a Friday after regular business hours. It shipped on Sunday and arrived at my door by Tuesday. I was very surprised by the quick service (the estimated delivery date had been days later). Cost breakdown was as follows in US $:
Item(s) Subtotal: $37.50
Shipping & Handling: $7.48
Total before tax: $44.98
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
Import Fees Deposit $1.88
Grand Total: $46.86
It actually shipped from Amazon in Burlington, ONTARIO (so no waiting for it to cross the border on a courier) and was delivered by Canpar. No HST, no brokerage fees, just the extra $1.88. That helps take the sting out of the current exchange rate.
Easy, peasy, and not Japanesey, but Italian (at least the older models).
The text looks great so far, Brad! I have many other publications about my car: an original '74 owner's manual, the Ricambi Originali really thick shop manual with pull outs, the more common Haynes and Brooklands Books service manuals, plus scores of PDF files and hyperlinks; even in flipping through your book quickly I have already learned some new info that I hadn't seen elsewhere and I'm pleased to add your elegantly designed volume to my collection.
Cheers,
phaetn
