I took off the automatic (water) choke cover to get a better view of what was going on for setting the stop screw. I'm having a little trouble getting it back on.
The "Workshop Manual" tells you basically to put the cover on such that the choke spring fork lever holds spring. This was not a problem, except that there seems to be some detail missing concerning the tension on the spring, If you align the notches on the housing and cover, when the cold, you end up with no tension on the spring. It should be forcing the spring countrer-clockwise. It seems like there needs to be some step the "wind" the screw.
Do you need to pre-load the spring before attaching the housing (which seems hard)?
Attach the housing and then rotate 360-degrees? (This is not possible with the water lines connected.)
Am I missing something here?
Thanks!

Re: Choke cover and spring tension
Never mind! It turns out that the car was not completely cooled down, so the spring itself was not tense. I waited a day and it looks fine....
