Strange sound

Post by Nanonevol »

So I recently rebuilt my transmission, new clutch, guibo and it's been great. The other day, I think I was going from reverse to first and the car made a strange "Squack!" It's a funny sound that I believe I've heard come from cars before. Hard to describe, maybe what it would sound like it a giant person stomped on a goose (sick image I know). Anyone know what might have caused that?

Could be anything from motor mount to difrential or even the Guibo. Was it old stock or a new one? New old stock rubber products can fail pretty quickly if they were not stored properly.
