Yeah, you would think they could at least try to make it look less like a Miata, even though it is one :)

I was hopeful that this would be be a huge win for Fiat.As much as we like to critcize the MX5,it is a fantastic platform.A great chance for Fiat to put a Italian stamp on a bulletproof chassis.I understand that a complete in house design was probably not financially viable,but I just didnt want to see a re-badged Miata.This set of pics is just that.Someone who isnt an enthusiast will see that as 'just another Miata'. :(

To me it has to do at least one of two things (and preferably both): Remind me or the old 124/2000, and look distinctly Italian and gorgeous.

put the Alfa 4C engine in an Abarth version, and keep the price down, and I will put up with the Fiata looks.
