vibration
Hi everyone, when driving at high speeds my 1981 fiat is pretty smooth. When I am driving in my neighborhood around 25MPH I can feel vibrations and hear some slight knocking sounds over every little bump. It feels and sounds like it is coming from the front drivers side but who knows. There are also speed bumps and when I go over them I can hear a slight knocking sound coming from the front of the car. Any suggestions on where to start to diagnose the issue. Thanks!

Re: vibration
The first thing i would check would be driveline carrier bearing and pillow block. The rubber in the pillow block can get bad and allow the bearing to jump around. Next i would check the sway bar bushings.

What azruss said.
I have wince-inducing rattles, many of which are probably due to sway bar bushings, lower control arm bushings, and the driveshaft carrier bushing, all of which I have visually confirmed as totally shot. I believe the latter is causing the "clunk" I hear when I start from a standing stop.
Other than the lower control arms which are on back-order, I am awaiting the arrival of the items that will alleviate my wincing.

Upper and lower ball joints? Flat spots on rim(s)?
