Have you thought of placing the rectangular indicator lights behind the grill ? It's only a personal opinion, but I think it may make the whole thing look more integrated

Hi Brian,
I also like the rectangle turn signals and the bumperettes . I admire your garage! This is where mine sits.

I thought of putting them behind the grill but the lights are about 1.5 to 2 inches thick, and would collide with the horn...

I rented an underground parking space in a near by apartment building from mid October to April, its secure, quiet and nobody minds me working long hours, and occasionally swearing.

Oh, BTW love the blue tarp!

Hi all!
I've ben trying to read all posts on this and other forums regarding the signal light problem when you drop your fat bumpers and install Abarth blocks. I realize that it's tricky, because the hole is not really square. I wonder if someone did actually find and install a good solution? A posted pic would be great!

Cheers!

I used the Fiat turn signals that were in the bumper. I took them out of the bumper. I then removed the front grill, made a holder out of one of those old slide out stereos using the frame. I cut it in half and screwed it to the front of the fascia or what ever it is called. I then slid the turn signals into the frames which hold it pretty good. I used some silicone to make sure they would stay in there. I then reattached the grill.
They look pretty good. One of the turn signals is a little crooked so I will straighten it out. I will post pics later. It is late and I been in the garage all day doing fun stuff to my 77.

I sold my 82 turbo Spider on Friday. It was a sad day but at the same time it gave me the breathing space to be able to work on the 77 which I have had sitting under a tarp for months.

How can you do that to your poor spider?! If I didn't have a garage for mine I'd let it stay in my room and I'd sleep under the tarp!

I wouldn't go that far, but I would consider another way of storing it. The tarp is trapping moisture and will cause the car to rust quicker than if it were left to the elements.
