Huh.... it sounds as if they won't be carrying FIAT parts in the future.

Big sale on the horizon?

Based upon the things they no longer carried for Fiats I am not surprised. They seemed to be swaying towards the Alfa anyway so I suspect that even if they had not sold out, their days as a major fiat vendor were limited.

As many know Frank Battaglia (formerly of IAP) is the newest member of the Auto Ricambi family. Frank brings a proud heritage of almost 40 years or Fiat parts supply, knowledge and dedication to our organization... for which we are certainly grateful.

Three years ago, Csaba & I worked side by side with Frank and the VP of IAP to diagnose a starter issue at Freak Out. What I learned from that was that although we are competitors...... under our company shirts - we are all the same... Guys who have a passion for these cars.

If it were not for pioneers such as Paul Opiela, Art & Susan Bayless, Al Cosentino and even Robert Vick, Csaba, Frank and I would not be doing what we do today. Our hat is off to Mr Opiela... enjoy your retirement, your family and take pride in what you have accomplished ... we will strive to honor your efforts

First of all I would like to thank IAP and Paul Opiela for a great run!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there – great colleagues and customers, for which I will miss them all! Best wishes to Paul in his retirement, and thank you for the experience …. and PARTS!!!!

I would also like to thank Ramzi and Csaba of Auto Ricambi for the new opportunity that I have. I am SO excited that I get to stay within the Fiat parts world, and welcome working with old and new customers in my new role with AR. AR is unique as it offers some hard to find bits, in addition to the traditional engine, suspension, restoration, drive train and maintenance items. I will enjoy staying in the Fiat world and focusing on tech questions and keeping those legacy Fiats humming!!!

As they say, when one life ends – another begins. My best to Paul in his retirement as he begins his new life, and to old friends and colleagues who continue to live on with their classic car legacy vehicles!

Very nice tribute, Ramzi.

It pains me to see one of our vendors leave the (Fiat) scene. IAP was particularly helpful in that there was a lot of technical information and instructions right there on their website. Now, when I go to various IAP links I have saved, I get an error message.

It's a good thing I printed a lot of that stuff and put it in my Spider Binder.

I wonder if the folks at AR (or another vendor) could contact the new owners and see if they can work a deal for those lost webpages, and maybe move those Fiat based vids to their own account...

I was surprised by the announcement that IAP was gone. I used their catalog to order parts back in the pre-Internet days--I'm a long-time customer of theirs. Sad to see them go...

My son and I took a pleasant, top down drive to Centerline this afternoon. Their location is less than 10 minutes from my home! I wasn't even aware of their existence until this announcement. When we got there we noticed that they've got several storage containers out back which are probably full of IAP inventory. We walked in, introduced ourselves, showed them our Fiat and pleaded that they carry Fiat parts in addition to their Alpha parts line. They said that they are considering it.

I browsed an Alpha forum last night and found that Centerline has a good reputation for customer service. I certainly hope they decide to carry Fiat parts in addition to the Alpha parts. We've got several Fiat part vendors that have a reputation for good customer service, but another vendor would always be welcome.

I buy some parts from Centerline for Alfas we service and while they're friendly, their shipping prices are pretty darn high
