Did a compression test for the 1st time. I think #s look pretty good.
1 - 135 dry, 150 wet
2 - 130 dry, 150 wet
3 - 140 dry, 155 wet
4 - 140 dry, 150 wet
This is after I rebuild the head and replaced the head gasket.
I replaced the o-ring on the idle screw and it's still a bit rough. Things I'm thinking about still checking into...
1. Fuel pressure - never checked this and now my fuel pump might be going - I'm thinking some crap in the system although I checked the gas tank and didn't notice any rust.
2. Fuel injectors - never cleaned them
3. Valve clearances - although with the #s above do you think my valves should be pretty good?
4. Timing - I checked it again but want to ensure my cams line up, etc...
Anything else?

Re: Minor running issues and spark plug condition
Went for a drive tonight and initially the car seemed really sluggish. Pulled the car over, opened the hood and noticed that spark plug wire #3 had come off! I reattached and the car ran great. I think the idle screw o-ring, cleaning of the idle screw opening and tightening all vacuum hoses helped. Quite happy with the smoothness now, car idles better and it's nice to know compression is good.

...which was really great. The only Fiat was mine though. Most were classic American muscle but there were a few British MGs and Triumphs. Maybe next time (every Tuesday night, last time for this year is Sept 22nd) we could have a few more represent? It would be cool to have a row of Fiat's.
