A few reasons I'm considering this dash:
1. the sagging issue, which was a pain in the butt on all 5 of my previous Spiders
2. the wood is falling apart so would have to replace all of that as well to match
3. it is not made of pressed fiber so should last long
4. it is unique!
I'd appreciate any thoughts, especially if you've installed one on your Spider. I know I'll have to cut out the holes for the gauges and switches myself, but it just looks so cool!
Anyone tried the "California style" dash from Autoricambi?

Re: Anyone tried the "California style" dash from Autoricambi?
I have one I am putting in my car, not sure if it came from Autoricambi as I bought it off an individual. The thing to remember is that theses dashes are not simply drop in ready. If you are just planning on painting it you will have to improve the finish buy using body filler to smooth out the imperfections in the mold. You may also have to add to or trim from the fiberglass dash to make it fit properly. I am having mine covered in thin padding and leather but because I don't know how to do apholstry I am having to pay someone.

I too am thinking of doing this conversion but haven't found any "after" pics showing the finished dash in a car. Does anyone have any they can post or point me to?

Email me, I have pics. They are not 'mine', just taken from the web, so I do not want to post them.

All right! My dash came in yesterday from Csaba. I won't be fitting it right away - I have a transmission leak issue to fix first and a car to part out, but when I do get to this I'll be sure to post pics/process.
