hopping (not popping) out of first gear

took the car out today and noticed that it was hopping a bit (not popping out) coming out of first gear. It seemed like I needed to give it more gas than normal. Once in first gear, shifting into other gears is fine. Any help is appreciated. 82 spider 2000, 5 speed, FI.

My first thought too, but I'm not that knowledgeable about repairs, which is kind of funny if your going to drive one of these cars. Just enjoy how much fun they are to drive (when they run well). Thanks for your input.

Many years ago, i developed clutch chatter from shifting the same way all the time. I got rid of it by changing how i engaged the clutch.
