Connecting rod bolt torque specs

Post by grasshopper »

Hi all. I assembled a 1756cc engine,,,just installed it. I remember i torqued the connecting rod bolts (cap nuts) to either 39 or 40lbs...but noticed that shop manual says that the 132 series should be torqued to 47lbs. I thought that the connecting rod bolts on early series up to 1756 were the same bolts ? Should i be concerened ? I don't want to have to pull my engine out again
